Mercy Chinwo, husband Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa welcome first child

Mercy Chinwo, a gospel singer, and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, have welcomed their first child together.

The happy news was announced in a new music video titled ‘You Do This One,’ which was uploaded to Instagram on Friday.

The couple, however, did not reveal the baby’s gender.

They thanked God for filling their hearts with joy, their lips with testimonies, and their homes with joy.

The post read: “Lord, we are grateful; we approach Your throne with heartfelt songs of praise and thanksgiving.

“You’ve filled our hearts with joy, our lips with testimonies, and our home with celebration. Indeed “YOU DO THIS ONE”.

Several celebrities stormed the comment section of the post to congratulate the couple.

“Congratulations,” Nancy Isime wrote.

“I almost lost my mind last night! Big congratulations sis. Love to my baby,” an excited Kie Kie wrote.

“Big big congratulations mine. I double tap,” Nkechi Blessing wrote.

Teasing Mercy’s husband, fellow gospel singer Frank Edward wrote: @theofficialblessed my brother you do this one! yes, Jesus sef do.

“Congratulations to the doer and the doer of the doings! Jesus, You do this one o,” another gospel singer Ada Ehi wrote.

“Huge congratulations my darling. He really did this one oh,” reality star Princess Jecoco added.

Mercy and Blessed Uzochikwa tied the knot traditionally in Port Harcourt on Friday, August 12, 2022. The white wedding which was held on Saturday was attended by families and friends of the couple including Banky W and Adesua Etomi.
