Suspected killers of Nigerian student Chibuikem Emmanuel in Philippines identified

The Philippine National Police have identified four out of six Chinese suspects who were allegedly involved in the killing of a Nigerian medical student Chibuikem Emmanuel.

The deceased’s friend Michael Ojuola stated this in an update on X with the handle @michaelojuola on Wednesday.

“The Mandeau City Police division @ MCPOstation4 has been able to identify 4 out of the Six Chinese nationals who perpetrated the mvrderous crime, all the 4 Chinese nationals information and pictures has been sent to the local airports.

“To avoid them escaping, they’ve also started tracking them as well to be able to get them to pay for their crime. An Autopsy was carried out yesterday 25-10-2023 and result would be out in 4 days as reported by the medical team. All thanks to a Nigerian in the Philippines,” he wrote.

Mr Ojuola said a Nigerian, Chuks, paid for the autopsy and hospital bills. He also thanked Nigerians in the province of Cebu in the Philippines who decided to take up the case legally.

According to Ojuola on Sunday, Chibuikem was allegedly murdered by a group of Chinese. He said the deceased died of alleged torture by his assailants who tied his hands and mouth and beat him to death.
