Naira Marley mourns Mohbad

Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has begun to mourn the loss of his former record label signee Mohbad.

On Tuesday, he used a broken heart emoji to express his sadness over the death of the 27-year-old.

In 2020, Naira Marley and Mohbad had a disagreement over royalties and a change in Mohbad’s management, which resulted in Mohbad terminating his contract with Marlian Music due to alleged assault by the record label.

Mohbad’s family released a statement through his Instagram account confirming his death.

He was nominated for Best Street Hip-Hop Artiste at the recently concluded 16th Headies awards for his song ‘Peace’.
