Gospel singer Timi Dakolo has fired back fiercely at UK-based promoter Baddest DJ Timmy (Otis Ayodele Kubeyinje), denying any debt and accusing him of defamation, harassment, and attempted blackmail following a failed UK tour proposal.
Through his lawyers at Whitestone Solicitors and Consultancy, Timi issued a strongly worded official statement on July 18, 2026, completely rejecting allegations that he owes Revolve Entertainment £4,106 for expenses related to a proposed United Kingdom tour.
The statement reads:
“Our Client unequivocally denies these allegations.”
It details a written Performance Agreement where Revolve Entertainment, as Promoter, bore full responsibility for venues, sound, lighting, technical production, visas, flights, accommodation, and transportation which were expenses described as non-recoupable.
Timi’s legal team explained why the tour collapsed:
“The proposed tour never proceeded because Revolve Entertainment failed to satisfy fundamental production requirements, particularly in respect of sound, lighting and technical production… The technical arrangements proposed fell materially below the professional standard required.”
The statement demands immediate cessation of defamatory posts, removal of publications, a public retraction, and a written apology within seven days, warning of legal action in Nigeria and the UK if ignored.
The drama escalated after DJ Timmy posted on social media threatening to expose Timi’s alleged “sexcapades” and “adventures in Lagos” if the money was not paid by a deadline. In one post, he wrote:
“If By Monday 20th, the money don’t hit our account, get ready to explain your sexcapades to your wife and all your little adventures in Lagos?”
DJ Timmy also shared an invoice and declared:
“YOU HAVE MONEY TO SUE BUT YOU DON’T HAVE MONEY TO PAY YOUR DEBT… BRING IT ON @TIMIDAKOLO.”
He further accused Timi of fraud and vowed to pursue compensation.
Timi, known for his gospel music and marriage advocacy, now finds himself at the centre of a bitter public feud that threatens to expose more than just finances.
