Nollywood actress Mojisola Adebanjo has exposed the harsh body standards ruling the industry, revealing producers once replaced her in a role because her natural figure wasn’t curvy enough for the character.

In her explosive interview on the Conversations With Kenni podcast hosted by Kehinde Ajose, Mojisola tackled the growing influence of BBL-enhanced actresses and how it affects casting decisions.

“They’re almost taking over because men want to see women with figure 8. Although some men still prefer the natural figures,” she admitted when asked if BBL girls dominate Nollywood.

She confirmed producers often favour curvier bodies depending on the story.

“Yeah, most producers… There was an interview I did last year where I felt bad because they had to change my role on that set because I wasn’t a curvy person. It made me feel really bad to be honest because when I got there, I was supposed to go for my fittings before I was hit with the reality that my body couldn’t work for the character I was supposed to play.”

Despite the hurtful experience, Mojisola stood firm on self-acceptance.

“That experience did not move me in the slightest to want to get a BBL, but I might later get in the future if I feel like. As at now, it’s not on my mind.”

She proudly shared her own body transformation journey instead:

“I just worked on my body. I used to be very big before with a big tummy, but now, I’m slimmer thanks to dieting, gym, and intermittent fasting.”
