In a fresh new clip making rounds online from The Honest Bunch podcast, Roby Ekpo is seen revealing more devastating details of his 11-year marriage to media personality Mayowa. The actor and content creator described sending her N200,000 out of every N500,000 he earned while she lived abroad for six years, only to be met with cold rejection upon her return.
“I was sending my ex-wife N200k out of the N500k I earned while she lived abroad for 6 years and she didn’t even give me a kiss when I picked her up at the airport.”
He went to the airport with two cars and friends but got no hug or affectionate reunion.
“We got home and she did not kiss me. She did not hug me. I slept in the living room for two days.”
He recounted the strain of the long-distance on their marriage and how it was constant.
“How can you call your wife for three, four days and she will not call back? She will not pick. Anytime I call her, it was always when she is inside the car.”
Despite the emotional distance, Roby kept supporting her.
“I was sending money abroad. I was sending flowers. I have friends in the U.S. and I would beg them to buy flowers and deliver to her.”
He explained how he was only able to afford buying a car after finally stopping the overseas transfers.
“Last year was the first time I got a car. I bought a Lexus RS350 with my hard-earned money when I stopped sending money abroad.”
Roby claimed the ultimate betrayal came when Mayowa took in a male flatmate only to find out later that they were having an affair.
“She got a house and got a male flatmate… I was not comfortable with it but I let it slide only for me to find out that the person she claimed was a flatmate was sleeping with her.”
He also claimed to have seen a photo of her sitting on a man’s leg in a restaurant.
He reflected on his sacrifices with deep regret.
“10 years of my life, what did I do but just love?”
He added that if he had fathered a child out of wedlock, he would have felt justified in walking away sooner.
The latest revelations build on Roby’s previous podcast bombshells about Mayowa’s alleged secret contraceptives which prevented them from having any children and the Miami BBL trip disguised as fertility treatment.
