Nigerian content creator and livestreamer, Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe, has expressed shock and overwhelming excitement after receiving a generous ₦20 million gift from Afrobeats superstar Davido.
The comedian took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to announce the unexpected gesture, revealing that the money was sent just days after his Twitch account was suspended, cutting short what had become a historic livestream moment.
In a viral video shared across social media, Carter Efe was seen shouting in disbelief, visibly emotional as he celebrated the life-changing gift.
Davido later confirmed the transfer by sharing an FCMB bank receipt on his Instagram story on Tuesday, December 24, showing the ₦20 million payment sent to Joseph Efe Oderhohwo.
The singer had made the promise during a recent livestream appearance with Carter Efe, a session that quickly gained massive attention online.
Reacting with tears of joy, Carter Efe shared a video of himself celebrating and captioned it:
“Yeeeeeeee, Davido oooooo. 20 million naira, I don die. GOD BLESS YOU @davido.”
Fans immediately flooded social media with praise for the DMW boss, describing him as “001 talk and do”, a phrase often used to applaud Davido for backing his words with action.
Before the suspension of his Twitch account, Carter Efe’s livestream with Davido had already broken records, making him one of the most-followed African streamers at the time, with massive likes and engagement pouring in from fans across the continent.
Though the ban came as a setback, Davido’s generous intervention has turned the moment into a major win for the comedian.
