Nigerian singer Skales has shared a wild behind-the-scenes story about a private jet ride that still has fans talking. The “Temper” crooner revealed that Burna Boy once begged Davido for space on his jet ahead of a performance in Yola, leading to a packed flight where someone ended up sitting on the toilet seat.
Skales recounted the experience while reflecting on a show he and Burna Boy were booked for in the northern city. According to him, Burna reached out to Davido and asked if he and his team could hop on the private jet. Davido agreed without hesitation.
“Burna called Davido and said, ‘Please, can I join their jet?’ Davido said, ‘Why not?’” Skales recalled.
The aircraft was already full, so Davido had to ask one of his own team members to take a later flight the next day. Even after that adjustment, the cabin remained so crowded that one person sat on the toilet seat for the entire journey.
“The jet was so full that Davido had to ask one of his team member to leave, and someone even had to sit on the toilet sit because there was no space.”
Skales also noted that Davido gave up his own seat for him during the trip.
The flight eventually paid off beyond the performance itself. Skales said he performed alongside Burna Boy once they landed in Yola, and the experience later opened doors that connected him to international act Major Lazer, with whom he went on to make music.
