Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has reignited her long-running feud with Eniola Badmus, claiming she once fed her, gave her money, and helped land her roles at a time when “nobody wanted to use her.”
The comments came in a fresh interview with Agbelebu TV Uncensored hosted by Dele Adeyanju that began circulating widely on Monday, October 20, 2026, days after Badmus appeared on Isbae U’s Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast. When IsBae U named Bakare as one of his favourite actresses, Badmus hissed and her expression changed. Bakare responded on Instagram the same day, calling her a “nuisance” and an “ingrate,” and referring to herself as Badmus’s “biggest benefactor.”

In the new interview, Bakare defended her bluntness.
“I don’t lie. I’m a very open and straightforward person. I’m unique in the Yoruba entertainment world. Eniola Badmus is someone I used to feed and give money. She cannot deny it.”
When Dele noted that Badmus comes from a wealthy family like her, Bakare pushed back.
“I don’t know about her background. I use my money to make my own films. When she was ugly and fat, I used to help her.”
The host objected to the language. Bakare stood firm and pointed to Badmus’s reaction on the podcast.
“Was what Eniola did to me on Isbae U’s podcast good? At the end of the day of a gaslighter like her, it’s my reaction people will hold on to. People kept asking me why I would react like that.”
Asked for a clearer sequence of events, she replied:
“Then, I used to help her with money and roles—when nobody wanted to use her in their films. You can see that she had to go get surgery done to remodel herself. She realized times have changed.”
This is not the first public clash. In April 2025, the two nearly confronted each other at the Lagos premiere of Owambe Thieves. Bakare later shared old direct messages in which Badmus reportedly called her an “animal” and told her to stay away. Bakare has repeatedly claimed she gave Badmus her first major role around the early 2000s, when she says producers avoided her because of her appearance.
Bakare, who also serves as Senior Special Assistant to the Osun State Governor on Entertainment, Arts, Culture and Tourism, has framed the ongoing tension as ingratitude from someone she once supported.
