Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has fired back at Eniola Badmus after a podcast moment involving comedian Isbae U reignited their long-running feud.
Eniola appeared as a guest on Isbae U’s “Curiosity Made Me Ask” podcast. When the host named Laide Bakare as one of his favourite actresses, Badmus hissed and her expression shifted in a way that viewers quickly noticed after the clip spread on social media platforms. She recovered almost immediately.
“Yes, yes, that so you have your choice,” she said, before adding, “Apologies on that. Yeah, I’m listening.”
Isbae U pushed back that everyone is entitled to their preferences.
Bakare responded on Instagram on Monday, October 19, 2026, sharing the clip and addressing Badmus directly.
“This lady is a nuisance! Must you always damage my character publicly? I have warned you several times to stop, but you have decided to bring me down at all costs. You will surely hear from me,” she wrote.
She went further, calling herself Badmus’s biggest benefactor and accusing her of ingratitude.
“See your facial expressions at the mention of your biggest benefactor’s name? The lady who helped you grow. Honestly, you are indeed an ingrate, and I won’t let this slide.”
Bakare added that she would not allow someone else’s insecurity to distract her.
“I know my journey, I know my worth, and I know how much it has taken me to get here.”
The two actresses have a well-documented history of public tension. In April 2025, they clashed at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s Owambe Thieves in Lagos, with videos showing a heated exchange that nearly escalated. Bakare has previously claimed she gave Badmus her first major role and invested in her career when few others would. Earlier spats involved social media shade, direct messages, and comments around events including Bakare’s book launch. Badmus has, at times, responded by calling for peace and unity rather than further confrontation.
