A married woman identified as Mary has taken a private fight public, accusing Nollywood actress Irewole Olaniyan of a three-year affair with her husband and calling her a torment in her home.
Mary made the claims in an Instagram post that began circulating on October 2, 2026, before reports said the original write-up was taken down. She said she had already tried the quiet route.
“I reached out to her personally as a lady to a lady, and she said she didn’t know he was married,” Mary wrote.
She added that Irewole described the man as not her type, called him names, and said she had blocked him. Mary said she let it go then.
She now alleges the relationship did not stop. In her account, her husband backed Irewole’s movie productions, trips, expensive bags and lifestyle, and the two travelled to South Africa together in September 2024.
“She portrays herself as a successful, hardworking, and consistent actress; meanwhile, she’s a home wrecker,” Mary wrote.
She also claimed he had ended things, but that Irewole kept calling and texting from different numbers and asking for money.
“You’re a leech. Leave my family alone and stay away from us,” she said.
Mary closed the post with an apology to relatives and friends who might be disappointed that she aired the matter.
“I’ve held my peace for so long. I can’t take it anymore,” she wrote.
The actress has not issued a fresh public statement so far. What has circulated is a direct-message exchange Mary shared, with messages she attributes to Irewole. In those screenshots, the account linked to Irewole tells Mary she is chasing clout with her name, then says:
“You have gotten it.”
An earlier message read:
“I have a long time ago but now that you’ve tried ruining my reputation what’s left to fear. My darling you will see my handwork,” in response to a text asking her to leave Mary’s husband alone.
The same chat shows the tone turning raw on Mary’s side, with lines calling Irewole a home wrecker and telling her to find her own man.
