Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday and BBNaija Level Up winner Phyna slammed into each other on Thursday, September 17, 2026, after the actress called the reality star a nuisance on Instagram and told her to rest. What started as an unsolicited lecture became a full age-grade fight, a cancelled job story and a wig insult before nightfall.
Nkechi said she does not like jumping on trends. She jumped anyway.
“It is Phyna I am talking about today. Phyna, What’s your problem?”
The comparison that really got under her skin was the lookalike comments.
“What annoys me the most is when I post a picture and people start saying I resemble Phyna. I’m troublesome, but god will not let me resemble that girl. She’s troublesome!”
Then she reached for rank.
“Phyna, relax. Must you fight with everybody? I know you’ll come for me, but number one, I’m not your mate. So before you set your camera to insult me, know that I am 37. I senior you a lot! Calm down! You’re doing too much!”
She accused the younger star of talking to people “anyhow,” leaning on bullying as a shield and trending for the wrong reasons.
“You’re becoming a nuisance on the street of instagram. Try to respect yourself.”
She added that she had already quit Instagram drama and found peace.
“Don’t you like peace, Phyna?”
Phyna’s first reply on X was short and loaded.
“Arh NKECHI is dragging me??? What did I do? I hope nobody holds me when I come back ooo.”
The second reply was a video, and she did not hold back.
“At this point, I’m tired because if I call it bullying again, someone will say I’m calling out bullying. Is this not bullying? What’s connecting me and grandma Nkechi? How did we get here?”
According to Phyna, the only recent business between them was a film. She said Nkechi asked for her rate card last month, she sent it the same evening, and Nkechi then said another person had already been cast.
“She said I delayed her and I apologized even when she kept ranting. No other conversation and all of a sudden, this??”
She said she had changed and did not want to disrespect anyone, then she did it anyway.
“Okay, you’re 37. Okay grandma! Old woman! Are you insane? Are you dumb? We had no other conversation after that so what’s causing this? It’s now like you’ve been planning against me. Well okay grandma, I’ve heard you!”
Nkechi answered on Instagram by telling Phyna to change her wig to a better one before talking again. Phyna posted another video calling that response materialistic and accusing the actress of dodging the job story that, in her telling, is the only real link between them.
Some fans told Phyna to ignore “aunty” and keep her peace. Others joked that the reality star would turn the drag into stream content.
