Yoruba actress and producer Wumi Toriola has broken down in a video after technical problems locked her off her own YouTube channel. Fans had been asking why new movies stopped dropping on Wumi Toriola TV. On September 3, 2026, she finally answered, fighting tears while she spoke.
She said she recorded other clips and deleted them. Holiday rumours were wrong. The silence was not rest. It was a platform failure she tried to fix alone.
“I don’t know how to start. I have done a couple of videos, but I ended up deleting them. Some of you are asking if it’s because I am on holiday. I haven’t uploaded to Wumi Toriola TV because of the fanbase, relationship, and bond I built with them. Unfortunately, we can’t post because we are having technical issues.”
She refused to turn the glitch into a smear campaign.
“I have been strong for the longest, and I’ve been trying to keep this together, thinking I could resolve it myself; I am not going to cry. The same channel we built together with love is undergoing serious technical issues. I am not going to blame anybody; I am not going to blackmail anyone. I won’t say someone reported my page or make excuses; I will say we are having technical issues.”
Then the vow cracked.

In 2024 she ranked among the top cinema producers of the year, with Queen Lateefah pulling a reported ₦57.7 million opening weekend and later box-office recognition from the National Film and Video Censors Board. That climb makes this freeze sting more.
