Viral fish pie seller Alax Evalsam, popularly known as Fish Pie Boy, has made a sudden U-turn, begging influencer Nons Miraj for forgiveness after months of dragging the woman who gifted him a car and an apartment.
In a social media post dated September 2, 2026, which he later deleted, Evalsam wrote:
“Nons Miraj, I’m very sorry for everything. I know I messed up but find it in your heart to forgive me, I really appreciate all you did for me. I was manipulated by my manager and friends.”
The apology came after a March 2026 podcast appearance where he claimed the car she bought him started developing faults soon after he began driving it, and that life had not improved since he moved into the apartment she rented for him. He even talked about returning to his village to escape the pressure of sudden fame.
Nons Miraj had stepped in after his fish pie hustle went viral, giving him a lift that many Nigerians first celebrated as a rare act of kindness. The relationship later soured when he went on a live show and spoke poorly about the same gifts. Fans accused him of biting the hand that fed him.
The deleted apology did not calm the storm. Many said he still refused to own his words.
“Apologize and take responsibility please! Which one is ‘my manager and friends deceived me’?” one user wrote.
Another added:
“Can humans stop saying they were manipulated and take accountability for their actions.”
Some were even harsher.
“@nons_miraj don’t listen to him. Let him go back to where he came from because how can you go on a life show to talk bad about someone that helped ur life.”
Others warned that forgiveness does not mean access.
Users mocked the idea that a man who only recently blew up already had a manager pushing him to attack his benefactor.
“He hasn’t repented yet. He is still playing the blame game,” one reply read.
Nons Miraj had not publicly accepted or rejected the apology at the time of publication. What is clear is that the internet has not forgotten the roast, and a deleted “sorry” has not wiped the slate.
