Nigerian comedian, master of ceremonies and content creator Chimaraph has described content creation as a permanent force in today’s world and a major source of income for many.
Speaking on the Conversations With Kenni podcast hosted by Kehinde Ajose, he dismissed any idea that content might one day fade away.
“That’ll be when the world ends. Content has come to stay. It’ll keep evolving. Every body from bank MDs to religious leaders have content creators that follow them around. It’s a full time job,” he said.
On the importance of content despite its potential distractions, Chimaraph noted the balance of benefits and drawbacks.
“Everything that has an advantage has a disadvantage, but I think every people-facing industry needs it. Also, apart from the jobs, people also make money from their content—it’s the new oil.”
He also offered practical advice to new talents hoping to break into the industry.
“I always tell them to go ahead to do it. Pursue your dreams. I don’t want to be the villain in anyone’s story. Just have a mentor, learn all the rudiments, do your homework, and be patient to see it come true. Don’t be in a hurry to blow. All the celebrities you love today, if you check, they had a long history of putting in work. There’s no overnight success.”
Chimaraph’s comments reinforce the reality that digital content has become essential across professions while reminding aspiring creators that lasting success still requires preparation, guidance and time.
