Nollywood actress Teniola Aladese has revealed that she is currently single and maintains strict standards when it comes to dating.
The talented star made the candid admission during a recent appearance on Pulse Nigeria’s Drink or Spill, where she spoke openly about her relationship status and personal red flags.
“I am trying my best, guys. I date, but currently I am not dating,” Aladese said when asked about her love life.
The actress, who is also a producer and casting director, described herself as someone who approaches dating with intentionality. She defended her high standards, insisting they come from a healthy place rather than unnecessary pickiness.
“I am strict when it comes to dating. I think a healthy level of strictness,” she explained.
Aladese went further to identify what she believes is her biggest personal red flag.
“My biggest red flag is probably that I am over analytical. I overanalyse a lot of things, which is why I like to communicate a lot,” she added.
In the same interview, Aladese was asked to name the most dramatic celebrity she knows. She chose fellow actress Bisola Aiyeola.
“That will be Bisola Aiyeola because I love her. She is one of the most dramatic celebrities I have ever met. She is one of my favourite people in the world and I love her for that,” she said.
On the topic of on-screen chemistry, Aladese revealed that her preferred male co-star has changed over time.
“It used to be Uzor Arukwe; right now, I would say Taiye Arimoro,” she noted.
Born on September 18, 1993, in Agege, Lagos State, Teniola Aladese studied Mass Communication at Covenant University before building a successful career in Nollywood as an actress, producer and casting director. She has appeared in numerous films and continues to earn recognition for her work both in front of and behind the camera.
