Veteran Fuji legend K1 De Ultimate has finally broken his silence over explosive paternity allegations, using his music to deliver a blunt response that has set social media ablaze.
A woman who identified herself as Ogechi (also referred to as Aunty Adunni in some reports) recently went public with claims that she dated the singer for over seven years and gave birth to a daughter named Azizat Tiwalade Aduke Serina Ayinde Marshal. She alleged that when she informed K1 about the pregnancy, he rejected it and urged her to terminate it.
“We dated for about 7 years plus before I eventually took in for Azizat. Though by the time I told him about the pregnancy, he said he was not interested that I should abort it, that he will send one of his boys to me to give me money for the abortion,” she claimed in a circulating interview.
She further stated that she first met the Fuji star while working as a nail technician and hairstylist, and later attended to him at his residence. The woman also claimed she took the matter to the late traditional ruler Kabiyesi Agba Akin, and that K1’s late mother became emotional upon seeing the child, reportedly saying the girl resembled her.
When asked if she was certain K1 was the father, she answered firmly:
“Yes, he is.”
The young girl herself has also appeared in videos appealing for help to reach the musician.
K1 De Ultimate responded in characteristic fashion through song. In a recent performance captured in videos circulating widely, the 69-year-old icon sang “To ba loyun koyun, Sara ni” — meaning “if you get pregnant carelessly, you’re on your own” or “Any unplanned pregnancy is a free gift.”
The sharp lyrical clapback has divided opinions online. Some fans have praised the singer for addressing the matter directly through his art, while others have criticised the response as insensitive, especially given the involvement of a child.
This is not the first time the Fuji icon has faced paternity-related controversies, but his decision to reply via music rather than a formal statement has amplified the drama. As of now, no DNA test results or further official clarification from either side have been made public.
The episode has once again thrust the private life of one of Nigeria’s most enduring music legends into the spotlight, sparking heated debates about responsibility and celebrity culture.
