Popular content creator and actress Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, better known as Kiekie, has sparked heated debate after boldly revealing she will never collaborate with skit makers she considers too vulgar or those who frequently wear revealing outfits.
In a recent interview clip that went viral on Sunday, July 12, 2026, the talented skit maker and influencer explained her stance as a matter of personal brand protection rather than judgment.
“I can never collaborate with any skit maker that is too vulgar. If they always wear revealing clothes too. Not like I have a problem with it, but it’s just brand alignment,” Kiekie stated firmly.
She quickly clarified that her decision does not stem from looking down on others:
“My inability to collaborate with anyone doesn’t mean I look down on them. I see and recognize their hardwork. We just don’t align. It might affect the way brands approach my own brand.”
Kiekie, who rose to fame through relatable comedy skits and has built a strong personal brand, emphasised the importance of maintaining consistency for her audience and corporate partners. Her comments come amid the booming Nigerian skit-making industry, where creators often push boundaries with bold, sometimes explicit content to gain massive followings.
The video has triggered mixed reactions online, with some praising her for protecting her values and others accusing her of being selective or hypocritical. Supporters argue it shows professional maturity, while critics feel it creates unnecessary division in the creative community.
