Nollywood star Lateef Adedimeji has shared heartfelt details about his union with actress Adebimpe Oyebade, popularly known as Mo Bimpe, revealing how love triumphed over his initial reservations and their religious differences.
In a recent interview with Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the talented actor and producer admitted he once vowed never to marry anyone from the entertainment industry, but destiny had different plans for the couple who tied the knot in December 2021.
Adedimeji openly addressed their interfaith marriage, noting he is Muslim while his wife is Christian, yet insisted faith never stood in their way.
“I promised never to marry someone from my industry, but God had better plans. I am a Muslim; she’s a Christian. It didn’t matter to me because the most important thing before religion is my peace,” he declared.
The actor further disclosed that Mo Bimpe initially harboured concerns about the relationship, but he took a bold step to meet her father, which helped smooth the path to marriage.
“She had her concerns, but I told her to let me meet her father, and the rest is history,” Adedimeji added.
Their love story continues to inspire fans, especially after the couple welcomed triplets in 2026, five years into their marriage. Adedimeji also used the opportunity to clear the air on circulating photos of the babies, confirming they were AI-generated images.
“Also, those children you are seeing with us on social media are not the faces of our triplets because it’s AI. When we are ready, we will reveal their faces,” he explained.
