Nollywood superstar Toyin Abraham has once again sparked conversation with her refreshingly honest take on balancing marriage, fame, and the demands of acting. During a recent appearance on The Morayo Show hosted by Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the actress and producer opened up about trust in her marriage to Kolawole Ajeyemi and how she handles romantic scenes on set.

When asked if jealousy ever creeps in because both she and her husband are popular figures in the industry, Toyin quickly dismissed the notion. She shared a playful moment from their relationship, revealing how she sometimes teases her husband about posts on his page.

“No, but there was a day I saw a post on his page and teasingly said, ‘another iranu,’” Toyin said.

The discussion turned to a recent kissing scene she shared with colleague Gabriel in a show. Toyin was unapologetic about her comfort with professional intimacy on screen.

“I can kiss anybody,” she stated matter-of-factly.

Morayo noted that not every husband would be comfortable with that level of on-screen romance. Toyin responded by highlighting the trust she enjoys from her husband and the industry at large.

“Gabriel is my guy. Most of my colleagues’ wives are comfortable with me. I can do every other thing but ‘iranu’ is not one of it, God forbid,” she added firmly.

In Yoruba slang, “iranu” means “nonsense” or inappropriate behavior. In this context, Toyin was saying she would never cross into anything unprofessional or disrespectful to her colleagues’ partners or her marriage.

The actress went on to discuss her movie release strategy, explaining why she often saves big projects for the end of the year.

“We don’t have a lot of people making movies in December though but it’s udu because more people are at home at the end of the year,” Toyin noted, pointing out how the festive period offers a bigger captive audience as families gather and spend more time indoors.

Toyin Abraham’s viral interview sparked praise for her transparency and trust with husband Kolawole Ajeyemi. While some were surprised by their comfort with on-screen romance, others lauded her professionalism and boundaries. The clip reignited debates on maintaining strong marriages in an industry of romantic scenes and public scrutiny.
