Nollywood actress and controversial personality Nkechi Blessing has hit back hard at internet trolls mocking her dating history, boldly declaring that no man has ever walked out on her because she has always been the breadwinner in her relationships.
In a fiery Snapchat video, Nkechi addressed critics who accused her of “changing men like clothes,” especially after her reaction to actor Baba Ijesha and Luminee’s recent developments.
“No man I’ve dated has ever left me. How can they leave me, who was the breadwinner? I am the one who leaves men when I am tired, so don’t think you can insult me by saying I change men like clothes.”
The actress warned trolls not to push her, noting that she has deliberately stayed silent for two years but feels compelled to speak now.
“For the record, nobody ever leaves me. It’s not possible. Have you ever seen where someone leaves their breadwinner?”
Nkechi further challenged her critics:
“Nobody amongst all the people you think that you know I’ve dated has ever walked out on me. I leave when I’m done and that’s how it should be.”
She added that her exes are alive and can defend themselves if they wish, but urged that sleeping dogs be allowed to lie for now.
Her strong response stems from backlash she received after commenting on Baba Ijesha and Luminee’s relationship. Nkechi insisted she has the right to voice her opinions on the issue, just as she did years ago.
“I’ve been in my lane for two years now, but when this thing was going on 5 years ago, I lent a voice so it’s very normal for me to talk now too… I’m speaking for a lot of you.”
Nkechi Blessing, who has had very public relationships in the past including with politician Opeyemi Falegan and later Xxssive (Eseoghene Obire), has often been open about her finances and standards in relationships. She previously revealed she has never dated a man richer than herself and has dated “down” multiple times.
