Nollywood actress Diva Gold has candidly opened up about her views on love, infidelity, and relationships in the entertainment industry, revealing she is capable of forgiving a cheating partner under certain conditions but has a clear breaking point.

In a frank interview on the Conversations With Kenni podcast hosted by Kehinde Ajose, Diva Gold addressed the challenges of finding genuine love as an actress while sharing her personal stance on cheating.

“All professions have their own advantages and disadvantages. Even bankers can’t come and claim sainthood, so it’s same with being an actor or an actress. The only difference is you can see our movements in the open while others do theirs behind closed doors.”

She believes true love is possible regardless of profession if it is destined.

“It doesn’t matter what profession you find yourself, if you’re meant to find true love, you’ll find it.”

When asked about cheating partners, Diva Gold disclosed that she once ended a relationship due to infidelity. However, she explained her nuanced approach to forgiveness.

“I did quit a relationship because of cheating. Personally, if I give you multiple chances, it would get to a point where I won’t be able to handle it anymore and I’ll walk out of the relationship.”

She surprised many by revealing her willingness to forgive under specific circumstances:

“If you’re being honest about your outside dalliance, we can talk about it and if you reassure me you won’t let it happen again, I’ll believe you. But if it happens again, I won’t even tell you anything.”

She admitted struggling with verbal communication during conflicts but is learning to improve. Her advice to others facing similar situations was clear: try talking it through, but don’t stay and suffer.

“I really don’t know how to communicate. I’d rather type out an epistle but I’ve been learning to communicate now.”

Diva Gold emphasised full commitment in relationships but advised that suffering in silence is not the solution.

“If you can talk it out with the partner, you should, but if you can’t, don’t suffer. Just walk away.”
