Nollywood star and media personality Nancy Isime has made a passionate appeal to the Federal Government to rescue abducted and distressed children across Nigeria.
The actress used her emotional first homecoming to Edo State during Children’s Day 2026 to put child safety front and center. In the caption of her post that showed her interacting with pupils in Benin City, she declared:
“I’m also taking this opportunity to call on the Federal Government to come to the rescue of our children in distress. Every child deserves to be happy, educated and safe!”
The plea came during a grand return to her roots that moved the Esan star to tears. Nancy proudly declared herself “A True Daughter of The Soil. A Proud Full-Blooded Edo Woman. Esan Oyeeee️” as she visited schools including Word of Faith College, Imaguero College, and Oredo Girls Secondary School.
She described the experience as an honour, saying she was sowing “small seeds of Love, Wisdom and Kindness” into the lives of Edo children. The actress, who lost her mother at age five and was raised by her father, has consistently advocated for child welfare. She often emphasizes education for young ones.
