Actress Yvonne Jegede has unleashed a scathing attack on the Nigerian government and supporters of President Bola Tinubu, expressing deep shame and frustration over the rising wave of kidnapping and banditry terrorizing the country.

In a fiery Instagram post, the actress lamented the normalization of abduction as a daily nightmare, questioning how the nation reached such a dangerous low.

“We are not even addressing hunger nor bad policies… It is kidnapping we are now addressing. KIDNAPPING?? As in kidnapping people??? You all are now mad in this country. Are you people not ashamed??? Are you people not ashamed??? You mean banditry is now a pandemic in Nigeria??? All the men and women in power who are involved in this, SHAME.”

Yvonne did not hold back, directly targeting supporters of those in power:

“Every SUPPORTER of TINUBU is a Kidnapper, Killer, Beheader & Corrupt individual. Deal with your Conscience.”

Her outburst comes amid fresh reports of school abductions, beheadings, and banditry across several states, incidents that have left many Nigerians terrified and angry. The actress stressed that basic human rights, including value added to life, are being trampled while leaders fail to tackle core issues like security, education, healthcare, and employment.

The strong comments have sparked immediate mixed reactions online, with some praising her for speaking uncomfortable truths while others accuse her of being politically motivated.

This latest celebrity outcry adds to a growing list of voices from the entertainment industry expressing despair over the worsening security situation under the current administration.
