Toyin Lawani, founder of Tiannah’s Empire, revealed that the “Agege bread” concept had been on her mind since last year. She originally planned to wear the dress herself but could not attend the event. When Queen, who owns a bakery, confirmed her attendance at the last minute and requested a simple outfit, Lawani saw the perfect opportunity.

“I had this Agege bread idea since last year. I called my friend and told her she was like you are too crazy but the idea slaps.”

She convinced a skeptical Queen to trust the vision, telling her it would massively promote her bakery business.

“She had a bakery and knowing I had a bread dress… I talked her into wearing it and gingered her to be brave… at first she was very skeptical, But I kept encouraging her to trust me.”

The dress reportedly used over 500 loaves of bread. According to reports, the team used foam as a base, mixed flour, water, and glue for texture, added paint, and sealed everything with resin to maintain the realistic bread appearance while ensuring structural stability.

Lawani celebrated the success of the bold statement.

“Thanks for Everyone who understood the vision… Now it’s getting the Attention of @guinnessworldrecords… The impact this innovation brought her Business is not small. Endorsements, more visibility, clientele etc Just in few days.”

Queen Mercy Atang, who runs Swit Cakes & Desserts, described herself as “an entrepreneur who runs a bread EMPIRE” on the red carpet.
