Veteran Nollywood actor Dele Odule has shared a deeply emotional and shocking confession about hitting rock bottom in his career, revealing he once went as far as pricing his own casket due to overwhelming frustration and lost hope.

In a recent interview with Feelright TV, the respected actor opened up about one of the darkest periods of his life when he felt completely abandoned by the industry.

“I had priced my own casket before, when I was in a state of hopelessness, and complete loss of hope. Olaiya Igwe went there with me. Olaiya started crying like a baby.”

He clarified that he was not suffering from any physical illness at the time but was mentally and emotionally broken by career stagnation.

“I wasn’t sick, I just believed I can no longer have breakthroughs in the industry. I was fed up. Because all my school mates were doing far better than I was and my life was nothing to write home about.”

The revelation has touched many hearts, with fans and industry watchers expressing shock at the level of despair the veteran actor endured despite his long years of contribution to Nollywood. His story highlights the harsh realities, financial struggles, and mental health challenges many celebrities face behind the glamour of the entertainment industry.

Dele Odule’s courage in sharing this painful chapter is being praised as a wake-up call for better support systems for veteran actors who have given so much to the industry.
