Nollywood actress Roseline Meurer, popularly known as Rosy Meurer, reportedly filed for the dissolution of her union with businessman Olakunle Churchill, sparking online discussions in entertainment circles over the week. Reports emerged claiming Rosy filed the petition around April 20-21, before the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram and Rosy began reintroducing herself without her husband’s name or wedding ring. These actions fueled speculation that the marriage, which started after a 2021 union and produced two children, was heading toward a bitter end.

However, Churchill has come out strongly to dismiss the circulating claims. In a direct statement addressing the public misinformation, he declared the divorce reports completely false.
“Let me address this directly. The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false. There is no truth to them, and they should be treated as such.”
He further explained the legal technicality at the heart of the matter:
“There was no legally recognized marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction. Therefore, the idea of a ‘divorce’ is baseless from the outset.”
Churchill questioned the process behind the reported filing, noting that he was never formally served any court documents.
“Beyond that, any legitimate legal process requires that all parties be formally served and given the opportunity to respond. I was never served.”
He also took aim at those allegedly advising Rosy, suggesting poor counsel from both non-experts and questionable legal practitioners.
“I am 100% sure that individuals without proper experience in the media space are advising Rosy incorrectly, alongside legal practitioners who operate under a mango tree without due process and claim to produce divorce documents within 24 hours.”
The development comes amid earlier subtle hints from Rosy about marital discomfort and follows Churchill’s recent public reconciliation with his ex-wife, actress Tonto Dikeh, including renewed interactions involving their son. In February 2026, Rosy had publicly supported the reunion and insisted she remained “Mrs Churchill,” but recent actions appear to signal a shift.
The couple’s relationship has long been surrounded by controversy, dating back to allegations during Churchill’s previous marriage to Tonto Dikeh. Despite the current claims and counter-claims, Churchill maintains there is no valid marriage to dissolve, rendering any divorce proceedings legally questionable.
As the story continues to unfold, fans and observers remain divided, with many watching closely to see how the high-profile entanglement between Rosy Meurer, Olakunle Churchill, and lingering ties to Tonto Dikeh will resolve.
