Controversial personality, Blessing Okoro, known as Blessing CEO, has faced pointed questions from content creator Egungun of Lagos about her recent breast cancer disclosure. In a live interview that has gone viral, Egungun pressed her on the stage of her cancer, the amount of money raised, and whether she regrets her actions. Blessing CEO responded with a mix of clarification and defiance, maintaining that she did not intentionally mislead the public.

Egungun began by asking her to clarify the exact stage of her cancer. Blessing CEO replied,

“Maybe it’s miscommunication because that was what I was told but I’m also trying to be sure of what I’m doing after a biopsy.”

She explained that she discovered a lump in her breast in July last year and was initially told it was not cancerous. However, months later, when she wanted to remove the lump, doctors informed her it had become cancerous. She is now preparing for a mastectomy.

When asked about the reported ₦100 million raised from donations in 24 hours, Blessing CEO refuted the claim.

“The money is nowhere near 100 million. It’s just 13 million.”

She insisted she cannot post her medical results online because they are personal. On chemotherapy, she stated,

“I’ve not started chemo, I just got the biopsy results.”

Egungun also questioned whether she would apologise to those she might have hurt with her earlier emotional videos. Blessing CEO responded firmly,

“I didn’t hurt anyone, I’m not a doctor.”

She expressed hope that her condition would not require the removal of her breast but stressed survival as the priority when asked if the surgery would necessitate cutting off her breast.

“I hope it doesn’t get to the point where it has to be cut off but the most important thing is to survive the surgery.”

Addressing speculation that she was raising funds for her partner IVD’s business rather than treatment, Blessing CEO dismissed the claim with a rhetorical question:

“How much do Nigerians have to be able to raise money enough for a business?”

On regrets, she was unapologetic.

“I regret absolutely nothing.”

The controversy began when Blessing CEO posted tearful videos claiming she had stage 4 breast cancer and needed help, but after later admitting to Daddy Freeze that she exaggerated her condition, she faced backlash from VeryDarkMan, Sarah Martins, and Nkechi Blessing, who accused her of faking the illness for financial gain.

Blessing CEO’s responses in this Egungun interview have kept the story trending, with many online users demanding accountability.
