Nigerian influencer and actress Papaya Ex has cried out publicly after her iPhone was stolen from her personal assistant during the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s movie The Return of Arinzo. She has offered a cash reward of ₦700,000 for its safe return.
Papaya was caught on video searching guests at the Arinzo movie premiere in a bid to recover her phone. In a series of emotional Instagram posts, Papaya detailed the incident and pleaded with the public for help. She first announced the theft with an initial reward of ₦500,000.
“Y’all they just stole my phone… please I use almighty God to beg you, if you find any iPhone 16 Pro Max pink case, I swear I’ll give you 500k.”
She explained the phone’s importance, noting that it holds critical work materials.
“All my work projects is on that phone.”
She claimed the device, an iPhone 16 Pro Max in a pink case, contains contacts, documents, and projects dating back to 2015.
Later, Papaya raised the reward to ₦700,000. In one of her posts, she claimed the phone was stolen from her personal assistant and made a direct appeal to whoever has the device.
“Please don’t wipe the phone… all my documents from 2015 is there… please don’t let me start from scratch.”
She also warned against selling it, saying,
“Selling it off won’t be a better deal, I need my contacts and documents.”
To make recovery easier, Papaya offered two options for anonymous return. She asked the finder to message her with a fake page or deliver the phone to her mother’s shop located at Lagos 24, Ereko, Lagos Island, Idumota. She further cautioned the public:
“Please don’t buy any phone showing my pictures.”
Fans and followers have been urged to share the message in hopes of locating the missing iPhone.
