Afrobeats superstar Davido has voiced strong displeasure over the disturbing bullying incidents at Igbinedion Education Center in Benin City, Edo State, after a video surfaced showing senior students subjecting a colleague to physical humiliation. The clip prompted Davido to take to X, where he voiced his great displeasure.
In his X (formerly Twitter) post, Davido quoted the footage and wrote,
“F*cking Animals .. so disgusting.”
The video captures a group of senior boys in school uniforms cornering younger student in classrooms and corridors. The juniors are physically assaulted, and shamed while the seniors stand over them, inflict pain, and record the debasement. The victims, visibly exhausted and distressed, are unable to stand up for themselves amid the taunts and suffering.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Eno Ikioedem signed off on a statement that said the students directly involved in the bullying have been expelled and the ones recording have also been suspended.
