Good Music Don't Sell Anymore — Busola Oke Cries Out

Popular Nigerian singer Busola Oke, widely known for her hit song Eleyele, has sparked concern after sharing an emotional and distressing message during a live session on TikTok.

The singer appeared visibly shaken as she spoke about personal and career struggles, saying she feels abandoned and no longer at peace.

“I’m done, I never plan to do this, but I can’t take it anymore,” she said while crying.

During the live broadcast, the entertainer lamented loneliness, financial hardship, and disappointment within the music industry in Nigeria.

“Gift can’t do you nothing in Nigeria… Good music don’t sell anymore,” she said.

Busola also apologised to her fans while hinting at difficult decisions ahead, though she did not disclose specific details.

“To my fans, I’m sorry… I never plan to do this but I can’t take it anymore,” she repeated emotionally.

The singer described feeling isolated despite past success, recalling a time when many people surrounded her.

“When the going was good, there were so many people,” she said.

Her emotional questions about survival and peace struck viewers deeply:

“How can you eat when there’s no food? … How can you be at peace when there’s no peace?”

The video has since circulated widely online, with fans expressing worry and urging support for the veteran singer.

Busola Oke rose to fame with Eleyele, a song that became a cultural anthem and established her as a memorable voice in Nigeria’s music scene. Her recent emotional appearance, however, has shifted public attention from music to concern for her wellbeing.
