Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has shared details of her first encounter with popular clergyman Pastor Jerry Eze, revealing that she immediately sensed the hand of God upon his life.
The actress made the disclosure while sharing photos from the latest edition of the NSPPD prayer programme held in Lagos, describing the experience as deeply spiritual and unforgettable.
According to Tonto, her first encounter with Pastor Jerry Eze happened years ago when the NSPPD altar was still in its early days.
“Five years ago, when I first encountered Pastor Jerry praying on NSPPD, when the altar was still young, I immediately perceived the hand of God upon him. The witness in my spirit was unmistakable,” she wrote.
She explained that her personal walk with God gave her the discernment to look beyond popularity and public noise.
“Being born again and firmly rooted in the Word long before I became the Tonto the world came to know, God granted me discernment. I knew, beyond noise and popularity, that God had raised a prophet for this generation,” she said.
Tonto added that her background in the entertainment industry made her cautious, noting that she observed from a distance before fully aligning herself.
“I was careful. I observed from a distance. Truth be told, as one who had lived in the entertainment world, I understood systems, stages, and spirits,” she explained.
The actress stated that she could distinguish between mere popularity and divine assignment.
“We know those who run with the street, and we recognize those God carries, those He has equipped and commissioned for His work,” she added.

Expressing pride in her relationship with the clergyman, Tonto said she is honoured to be identified as his spiritual daughter.
“Papa, I am proud to be called your daughter. I am proud to be disciplined under your grace,” she wrote.
Reflecting on the Lagos NSPPD programme, Tonto described the atmosphere as spiritually intense.
“Yesterday was not ordinary. I cannot fully explain it, but ‘deep calls unto deep.’ If you did not feel God last night… hmmm,” she said.
She concluded by congratulating Pastor Jerry Eze and the NSPPD platform.
“Surely, this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.Congratulations Papa @realjerryeze. Congratulations, NSPPD,” she added.

Over the past year, Tonto Dikeh has openly shared her faith journey, personal growth, and transformation, repeatedly stating that her past lifestyle is behind her and that she now sees herself as a testimony of restoration and grace.
