Actress Halima Abubakar Breaks Down Over Health, Housing Crisis

Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has made an emotional public appeal for help after revealing she was allegedly thrown out of her home while still battling serious health challenges.

The actress broke down during a TikTok live session, where she told fans she had been ejected by her landlady despite plans to renew her rent. She also spoke about her ongoing medical struggles, saying she is still moving from hospital to hospital in search of treatment.

In her emotional plea, Halima said:

“God bless you all. I will put you guys along, okay. You will see everything, you’ll see it from the hospital. Do not abandon me at the time of my need. I am not hiding it from Day One that this is what I am going through. For 9 years, you guys still know. We don’t eat money meant for something; God doesn’t want that. Everywhere there is no help, I have looked.”

Her words sparked sympathy online, with many Nigerians flooding her comment sections with prayers and supportive messages.

This is not the first time the actress has opened up about her struggles. Over the past few years, Halima has repeatedly spoken about her declining health and financial difficulties. In previous posts, she admitted she was exhausted from constantly asking for help and even shared her bank details publicly while appealing to Nigerians for support.

Her health battle has remained a topic of public concern and controversy. At different times, there have been claims and counterclaims about the nature of her illness, with the actress insisting she has been dealing with serious medical issues for years.

Halima was also suspended in 2024 by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) over allegations of defamation involving colleagues and high-profile individuals. Following the controversy, she publicly apologised to Apostle Johnson Suleman for making false claims against him, admitting her allegations were untrue and asking for forgiveness.

Despite the controversies surrounding her past, many fans say her latest video shows a woman in deep distress who needs compassion and urgent support.

For now, the actress says she is not giving up hope, but she is asking Nigerians not to turn their backs on her in what she describes as her most difficult season yet.
