Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has reacted to the official disclaimer issued by Serenity Royale Hospital, Abuja, after a leaked medical document alleged she was undergoing treatment for substance abuse.
The controversial report, shared online on Thursday, claimed the actress tested positive for multiple psychoactive substances, including cocaine, marijuana, morphine, opiates and high alcohol levels as part of an alleged detoxification programme.
Hours after the viral leak, Serenity Royale Hospital publicly denied authoring or releasing the report. In an Instagram statement, the medical facility urged the public to disregard the circulating document, stressing that it “did not emanate” from them and reaffirming their commitment to medical confidentiality.
Reacting to the disclaimer, Regina Daniels took to Instagram to express her relief, stating that she almost “went crãzy” and considered suing the facility because of her close ties to the hospital’s owner.
She wrote:
“Thank you for this. Knowing the owner of this hospital is a family friend made me almost go crãzy and sue y’all. But thanks for standing by the truth, admits knowing your big fish in the family. Saving your hospital and just doing the right thing. So thanks, and let me kill this.”
The leaked report surfaced in the middle of Regina’s ongoing conflict with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Earlier this week, Nwoko publicly claimed that recent tensions in their marriage were connected to Regina’s alleged “battle with drugs and alcohol abuse.” He said she resisted his attempts to get her professional treatment.

In a follow-up statement, he accused Regina’s siblings and actress Uche Montana of obstructing the rehabilitation process. According to him, they visited the house uninvited and allegedly brought her the same substances she was being treated for.
Regina has already responded to her husband’s allegations, denying his claims and accusing him of encouraging her behaviour rather than discouraging it.
