Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright could not hide her emotions after bagging her first major nomination since returning to the movie industry.

The actress earned the Best Supporting Actress nomination at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA 2025) for her role in the movie Red Circle.
Taking to Instagram, Bukky poured out her heart in a touching message of gratitude, describing how fulfilling it feels to be back doing what she loves.
“We’re back! My heart is so full. After some time away from the screen, stepping back into storytelling feels like rediscovering a piece of myself I truly missed. To be nominated as Best Supporting Actress for this film is beyond humbling. She further appreciated the film’s director, Nora Awolowo, for giving her the opportunity and dedicated the recognition to “every dream that took a pause but never died.”
