Actress and social media influencer Nkechi Blessing Sunday has voiced her frustration over the backlash she continues to face while promoting brands online.
The Nollywood star posted a video on Instagram where she appeared visibly emotional after sharing a phone conversation with a businesswoman who alleged that people began to resent her brand following Nkechi’s endorsement.
In her caption, Nkechi described the criticism as a direct attack on her livelihood.
She wrote: “I am human, and I have blood running thru my veins… It’s ENOUGH. I don’t have oda means of livelihood asides this Instagram, I no dey open legs for man before I chop. Contrary to whatever you think of me, every single penny I have came from influencing different brands over the years, and you want to stop it? Wetin you really want use my downfall do💔”
Nkechi, who has leveraged her large following to build a steady career as an influencer, said the negativity she receives undermines her hard work and risks discouraging the very brands she partners with.
