Kiekie, popular Nigerian skit maker has declared that she shares responsibilities with her husband.

In a recent chat with Toke Makinwa, the content creator said financial equity creates a sense of equality in marriage.

The skit maker, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, noted that it helps to prevent conflict in the event of a disagreement.

“How will you be living in the house and not paying rent? For me, it does not make sense. So that when we fight, we will share everything equally. You cannot tell me get out of my house! We are living together,” she said.

“I told my husband that it cannot happen that you will be paying all the rent and I will be living in this house. In my house, somebody has the chef’s bill, somebody has the nanny’s bill, somebody has the cleaner’s bill, somebody has the dry cleaner’s bill.

“But you can decide to travel and come back and buy me a gift of 12,000 dollars, beautiful but because you have the money. I will not allow you to take all responsibility because there is respect in doing and that is another challenge in marriage.”

Bukunmi tied the knot with Tunji in February 2020.
