‘Devil is a liar’ – Banky W responds to allegations of cheating on wife, Adesua

Bankole Wellington, aka Banky W, a popular Nigerian singer-turned-clergyman, appears to have responded to the cheating allegations levelled against him.

Remember that a contentious blog, Gistlover, claimed that the singer is cheating on his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington, with his former signee, Niyola.

But, speaking to his congregation at the Waterbrooks church in Lagos on Sunday, the rapper-turned-preacher claimed that the rumours were spread by satanic elements who didn’t want his congregation to hear his Sunday sermon.

He declared that the devil is a liar while assuring his congregation that God was in control.

He said, “The devil really didn’t want you to hear this message. In fact, he didn’t want us to enter into this series at all. There was an attack at the beginning, but here we are. But the devil is a liar. And God is in control.”

Preaching on the topic, ‘The Prison Of Pornography’, Banky W appreciated his wife, Adesua, for supporting him during his struggle with porn addiction.

“If I don’t thank God for anything in my life, I thank God for this woman [pointing at Adesua],” he said.
