Tems finally receives her Grammy award plaque

Temilade Openiyi, a popular Nigerian singer, has finally received the plaque for her Grammy.

Recall that on February 6, 2023, Tems won the Best Melodica Rap Performance Grammy at the 65th Grammy Awards.

She received the honour for her contribution to Drake and Future’s song “Wait For U.”

On Friday, Muyiwa Awoniyi, her manager, announced the plaque’s arrival via his Instagram story.

He flaunted the Grammy award plaque on his Instastory without a caption.

Tems is the first female Nigerian artiste to win a Grammy.

She is also the first female Nigerian singer to be nominated for a Grammy award. She was nominated in the Best Global Performance category last year for her hit song with Wizkid ‘Essence’ but lost to Pakistan’s Arooj Aftab.
