Singer Seyi Vibez loses mother

Balogun Afolabi, better known as Seyi Vibez, a popular Nigerian singer, announced the death of his mother late Thursday.

Seyi Vibez, who is currently making a name for himself in the industry with his Afro-pop, announced her death on Instagram with a blank picture.

He wrote, “Today the Darkest day of my life ???????????? March 16 I lost my ancestor ! ????️Love you till I go six feet mum ❗️RIP.”

As of the time of reporting, an official statement is yet to be made, therefore the cause of death has not been identified.

After his post, lots of Nigerian entertainers and colleagues in the music industry and beyond have stormed the comment section to sympathize with him.

Seyi Vibez, started pursuing his passion in singing, by making covers to his favorite African songs at the time, before he abandoned a corporate career for a life behind the microphone.

His progression in the music scene as a lyrical juggernaut and a skilled vocalist has positioned him as one of the few leading singers in Nigeria promoting indigenous-language pop music.
