Netizens kick as thugs attack Olumide Oworu’s campaign team in Surulere

Many have blamed Nollywood actor turned politician Desmond Elliot for the alleged thugs attack on Labour Party House of Assembly Candidate, Olumide Oworu’s campaign team in Surulere.

Desmond Elliot, a senior colleague and APC candidate, is running against Olumide Oworu for the state House of Assembly ticket.

Desmond Elliot, who has served in the Lagos State House since April 2015, has been dragged through the mud for his role in the attack.

In a now-viral video, a woman is seen lamenting how thugs allegedly attacked their venue as they were about to begin campaigning and began snatching belongings, using knives and other dangerous items. A photo of an injured man was also circulated online.

In another video, a lady could be heard explaining that the campaign vehicle was reportedly smashed by thugs.
