How I begged promoters to perform at their shows in 2021 – Iyanya

Iyanya, a musician, recalled how he pleaded with event organisers to let him perform at their gatherings in December 2021.

The 36-year-old revealed this in a tweet he posted on Wednesday, thanking God for his successes in 2022.

Iyanya claimed that 2021 was not his best year because he pleaded to perform at two events just to be noticed.

Iyanya, however, pointed out that December 2022 has been different for him as he wakes up to offers to perform at concerts.

He wrote: “Last year December 2021, performed at shows, one paid and begged to perform at 2 just to be seen. 2022 December, wake up and everyday to alerts for shows, haven’t had this kind of busy december since 2017. 20+ shows in on month. God Thank you.”

In another post, the ‘Kukere’ singer appreciated his fans and colleague who have shown support for his career.

“And to my fans and everyone who streamed my music this year, God Bless you.There’s got to be more and I promise 2023 will be a better year for everyone who has supported me this year.We will definitely have a great 2023,” he wrote.
