Buhari’s aide Bashir Ahmad welcomes first child
Bashir Ahmad, President Muhammadu Buhari’s special assistant on digital communications, welcomed a daughter with wife Naeemah.
Fatima’s birth was announced by Mr. Ahmad as having occurred on Friday.
“Alhamdulillah! Allah has blessed us again. Fatima Bashir Ahmad has majestically graced this world on this wonderful Friday,” he tweeted.
“May Allah grant her abundant knowledge and preserve her on the straight path and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (SAW). Mun gode Allah!”
In September 2020, Ahmad married Naeemah, née Bindawa, in Katsina State.
After initially resigning from his position as Buhari’s personal assistant on social media, Ahmad returned to Aso Villa in July.
The Kano native left his position to run for office. However, he was unable to obtain the party’s nomination for the Gaya, Ajingi, Albasu Federal Constituency.
