I attended over 100 auditions before getting a decent role- Eso Dike

Actor, Eso Dike is undoubtedly one of the biggest Nollywood revelations of 2021.Dike who has starred in flicks like ‘Soole’, Finding Hubby and others said he had to attend over a hundred auditions to get a decent role.

He told Entertainment Reporter, “Talking about sacrifices, I don’t think I can state all my sacrifices in an interview. I moved to Lagos without knowing anybody. I moved to Lagos knowing that I had talent and faith that I could what I intend to do to fulfil my acting dream. I attended over hundred auditions before I landed a decent role. I had to also deal with some of my family members not being totally convinced about my chosen career path because I came from a line of teachers and career professionals.

Many believe Dike’s rise in Nollywood has been swift, but the actor said his journey to stardom wasn’t fast.

“My journey to stardom was not fast. You never know the kind of grind and hustle an actor has out up until he gets into a big role. It’s a big no for me.My rise hasn’t been fast. As a matter of fact, my rise has been at least six years in the making because six years ago, almost seven now, was when I got my professional acting gig in Lagos”.

Going down memory lane, the handsome role interpreter revealed that he has always wanted to be an actor.

“Acting has always been something that has been in the pipelines for me.My mother teaches literature and drama.I have a background in Theater Arts which I did before going to school to study law.I did Theatre Arts for a bit before I went to study Law. I have always wanted to act. I didn’t stumble across it, it is something I have always wanted to do”.
