Iconic gospel singer, Tope Alabi has stated that some people alleged that she did rituals for her musical talent. The talented vocalist made this known in the course of the week in an Instagram live interview with comedian Wole Arole, which was monitored by Entertainment Reporter

In her words: “Some people send me messages asking me what do I lick that enables me compose songs? Such people ask me to confess that they won’t tell someone else. Do you know my character towards the Jesus that gives me songs? They lied to you that I did rituals for my musical talent. Are you the one that took me there”?, she asked.

Emphasizing on the importance of character building, the ‘Yes and Amen’ crooner said: “Having a good character is very important. You work in an organization, can  your  employer willingly offer to help you asides from the salary you are being paid? My percussionist who plays the ‘Omele’ doesn’t attend every ministration with us because not all require ‘Omele’. If we are invited to Abuja and they say they can only pay the flight tickets for nine individuals, Timo will be asked to stay back. In my band, he was the first person to build his own house. When he called me to come and dedicate his house, I was shocked. He doesn’t do any other thing, this is the only occupation he has”.
