Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has drawn a firm line against online attacks by issuing a formal cease-and-desist notice to the public, then following it hours later with a powerful personal declaration of faith and resilience. The moves come as the Bestie producer continues to navigate intense social media scrutiny.

Through her lawyers at Whitestone Solicitors and Consultancy, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi warned bloggers, social media users, content creators and influencers to stop publishing, reposting or circulating what her team described as false, misleading and defamatory statements about her. The notice, signed by Tope Salami and dated November 5, 2026, demanded the immediate removal of existing posts, videos and comments containing such material. It further cautioned against creating or amplifying fabricated allegations intended to ridicule, harass or damage her reputation and professional image. Failure to comply, the lawyers stated, could result in legal proceedings and other remedies available under the law.

Abraham shared the notice on her X account, addressing “To Whom It May Concern” and urging people to read it carefully. The action followed recent backlash after she posted a throwback of her TikTok collaboration, which some users interpreted as a competitive response to colleague Funke Akindele’s Facebook partnership announcement.

Just hours later, the actress posted a strong declaration of faith that has since circulated widely.

“I, Oluwatoyin, no one will take my place, and no one will stop what God has ordained for my life. I shall keep rising, soaring higher, and moving forward. I will not fall; I will not fail; I will not be shaken, and I will not be defeated. Every door God has opened for me shall remain open. My light will not go dim, my voice will not be silenced, and my glory will not be exchanged. God is my shield, my strength, my defender, and my ever-present help. I am covered by His grace, guided by His wisdom and sustained by His power. I shall rise, I shall win, and I shall finish strong. My best days are not behind me in Jesus’s mighty name. Amen!” she wrote.

She has faced repeated waves of online criticism in recent years, including intense backlash linked to her political support and occasional industry rivalries. In one earlier incident she pursued legal action against a user who wished harm on her child, while her 2025 film Oversabi Aunty crossed the ₦1 billion box-office mark.

Abraham is currently preparing for the nationwide cinema release of her new film Bestie on December 16, 2026.
