Nollywood actress and evangelist Tonto Dikeh has pushed back against common stereotypes that link wealth to dark or immoral practices. Speaking during a recent fellowship with church members, she urged Nigerians to stop assuming that every successful person must have taken a questionable path to financial freedom.
Dikeh delivered a clear message aimed at shifting public perception.
“Not every rich man is a ritualist, and not every rich woman sleeps with men. Some people have worked hard for years before their efforts finally paid off,” she stated.
She stressed that while some individuals may indeed gain riches through dubious means, it is unfair and inaccurate to paint every wealthy person with the same brush.
The actress-turned-evangelist explained that many successful people have spent years making real sacrifices, facing setbacks and staying committed to their businesses or careers before breakthrough finally arrived. She encouraged listeners to recognise that patience, perseverance and honest labour remain genuine routes to financial stability. Dikeh noted that dismissing legitimate success only fuels unnecessary suspicion and negativity in society.
Her comments come as she continues to focus on her evangelical work and public teachings. Fans and observers have responded with a mix of agreement and reflection, with many praising her for addressing a sensitive topic that often dominates conversations about money in Nigeria.
