Former Big Brother Naija star Mike Edwards has challenged streamer Carter Efe to a boxing bout, accusing him of talking about “real fighters” while avoiding the one already waiting. The call-out landed on Monday, October 5, 2026, days after Carter Efe beat Speed Darlington in the Chaos in the Ring event.
Edwards, who also boxes professionally under the name Machine Mike, posted the challenge on social media and told the streamer to stop the performance.
“@carterefe, stop the cap. Now you’re saying you want to fight ‘real men’ and ‘real fighters’… I’ve been right here the whole time,” he wrote.
He said the offer is not new.
“Before your first fight, I told you: go handle business, get the W, then me and you make the super fight. I kept the receipts.”
Edwards claimed Carter Efe has now fought three times while he has fought only once, and he used that gap to question the delay.
“Quit fighting these bums and accept a real challenge.”
The former housemate did not pretend the celebrity cards are only about sport. He said he understood that Carter Efe was “getting his bag,” then still pushed for a bigger contest.
“Give the people value for their money. You don’t fight enough now.”
Edwards said he has already spoken with Dr Eazy Adamu and Balmoral Promotions about staging the bout, and he wants it arranged properly. He also set a sequence. He plans to handle his own business in Dubai on November 7 before facing Carter Efe.
“Let’s give Nigeria the fight they actually want. Machine Mike vs Carter Efe,” he wrote.
He closed with a direct dare.
“You say you want a real fighter? I’m not hard to find. Quit ducking me.”
The timing follows Carter Efe’s October 1 win over Speed Darlington. The streamer had said he was done fighting local names such as Portable and Speed Darlington, and that he wanted international opponents and real boxers, including Floyd Mayweather. His earlier Chaos in the Ring bout, a May win over Portable, had already put him on the celebrity boxing circuit and came with a reported N50 million reward from businessman Emeka Okonkwo, known as E-Money.
