Rapper Phenom has drawn a hard line through the latest Afrobeats size contest, insisting Burna Boy’s 2026 FIFA World Cup stage still does not put him above Wizkid. The argument spilled out of a heated sit-down with music commentator DayGenius and is now circulating online.
Phenom first talked like a man ready to crown Burna Boy the biggest name on earth. He pointed to stadium dates and the World Cup run and said, “Worldwide, right now, Burna Boy is bigger than Drake.”
DayGenius refused that framing on the spot.
“Nobody is bigger than Drake,” he shot back, and the room stayed locked on global ranking instead of hometown pride.
The temperature changed when the conversation shifted from Drake to Wizkid. Phenom would not let a World Cup set rewrite the hierarchy.
“You can’t say Burna Boy is bigger than Wizkid just because he performed at the World Cup. Would you say Burna is bigger than Drake because of World Cup performance? Wizkid is the greatest please,” he said.
