Dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has spoken for the first time since his release from detention in the United Kingdom, insisting he did not commit the offence he was accused of and thanking Burna Boy and Rahman Jago for standing by him.
The comments came during a video call with social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, also joined by socialite Rahman Jago. Clips from the call circulated on social media platforms on Sunday, September 13, 2026, after weeks of rumours about Poco Lee’s arrest and remand.
Poco Lee said his biggest fear was not his own name but the people whose work stalled while he was away.
“I was just being myself and my only worries was my friends out there. Like Jago couldn’t do much business wise or on social media and I’m not a kid that enjoys stressing people. Anytime we spoke, I kept apologizing to them for stressing them and they kept telling me I shouldn’t because we’re friends.”
He framed his calm as proof of a clear conscience.
“If I was actually guilty of the crime I was accused of, I would’ve resigned to my fate that I was just paying for my sins, but as I didn’t do anything, my conscience is clear because nobody would want to attach themselves to something like that. Burna, Jago, and my guys stood by me so you know I wasn’t at fault.”
VeryDarkMan warned him that some people were angry he was free and would want to see him fall. Poco Lee waved it off.
“I’m a jolly good fellow, so I don’t worry about that.”
Asked in jest how much time a man should spend being careful around women, he delivered the line he’s well known for:
“Use 18 hours to fear women!”
The legal case is not over. Reports in August said Poco Lee was remanded in the UK after alleged sexual offences linked to his trip for the Davido and Friends concert at Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14. Snaresbrook Crown Court listed a plea and trial preparation hearing for Tuesday, September 15, 2026. The Crown Prosecution Service has said the matter remains active. He has not been convicted. The complainant’s identity is protected by reporting restrictions.
